Hi Helena, good point. Since 5 is already down, you cannot use the little partner of 2 to add the 2 in 12. That means you have to use big partner of 2. BUT, you haven’t learned how to use the big partner of 2 to do (8 + 2) … which should be -8+10. Yes, sorry, I think it jumped the gun on a future lesson. Typically, to add 3, if the 5 bead is already down, you would do -7+10 (7 is 3’s big friend). But we’ve not gotten there yet. So instead, please modify this question to be 18 + 7 + 12 -3 for now. We will update the worksheet. Thanks for catching that.

We are working on eBooks to offer our members, but until then, the best way would be to do it the old fashioned way where you to each lesson and print out the worksheets. We used a binder for our own children and used a 3 hole punch to stack them together.
